I completed an LTL RFP where every
single on of our carriers passed on an increase in price. In managing the data
and analyzing the rates I was able to determine where each LTL carrier would
best fit. By doing this I have saved the company another $46,000. ·
I implemented a dock scheduling
system to help the flow of receiving. When we implemented the new system we
received 127 pallets. Our dock has a capacity of 55 pallets. There was no
where to walk and we had a carrier drop a trailer to help us manage the quantity.
Since implementing the system the average day of receiving is around 35
pallets. ·
I completed a carrier bid for Home
Delivery. As part of this bid I provided the carrier shipping information and
also O.C. Tanner’s expectations for delivery. We had a $126,000 cost savings
due to our ability to negotiate with the carriers. ·
At O.C. Tanner we are always
looking for ways to improve. Every six months we have a strategy deployment
were every person is responsible to come up with different ways to cut waste
and to improve process. The project I worked on for strategy deployment was
to fix all of the addresses before we sent them to the carrier and were
charged a fee. In making this change, I have saved the company $10,000 with
the potential to save $90,000 over a year. ·
I was part of a team that found a
glitch in the system that was costing the company $460,000 each year. We are
now working on development to fix this issue. ·
While leading
a Product Development team, my team made it possible for OC
Tanner to move from 2009 pricing to 2011 pricing. We also made it
possible for future pricing increases without
needing IT’s help. This has brought in additional
revenue for the company. ·
One of our larger clients was
having problems with their catalog. It was supposed to be showing 300 awards
in India where it was only showing 100. I worked with a developer and led the
charge to fix their catalog. We were able to add another 500 items combined
to all of their different catalogs. ·
While working at All Trades, the
Ogden office had its highest year of profit. The work I did recruiting
skilled workers directly contributed to achieving All Trades Ogden's record
year. ·
I worked on an advertising
campaign for Giegerrig for my advertising class. He liked our ideas
so much that he requested to have us come to his office to discuss our ideas
